Apple formally announced today the iPad, after countless mock-up drawings and renderings thought to be merely a myth! The iPad will be priced starting at $499. Personally I feel that my MacBook is still superior just because the tablet looks like it may be bothersome to hold since it cannot just lazily sit on your lap, and being an avid multitasker I like to type to friends on AIM or e-mail while watching movies on my computer which may be difficult when the keyboard takes up half your screen... Only time will tell.
