DIY? Tour de Force

 Tour de Force's S/S 10 collection
I loved this skirt from the Tour de Force collection and saw it as a very achievable DIY especially with a number of skirts lying around my house in need of some jazzing. My first thought of the 3D panels was that they looked like a bunch of tuxedo lapel panels, anyone have any other alternative idea for them?? I'll be with out the sewing machine for a while before I can try but I'll keep you posted!

TAVIK Swimwear Spring/Summer 2010

I have to admit I did not know what to expect of Tavik, I had previously thought the brand was some guys specific surf label, and was very pleasantly surprised when I came across the attention grabbing suits and cover-ups handing on a rack at the ASR trade-show in San Diego. I was then even more surprised when I saw shots from the newest lookbook just released a few weeks ago, here are some of my favorites... View the rest here.

Wow these are fab! Ideally I'm all for the cupcake silhouette and love the sweetness of style however I do think it needs some edge, especially after my time at Betsey Johnson and the redundancy of the Teen Vogue dress every 16 year old prom gooer went gaga over. The giles collection seemed to capture that edge beautifully! I want one BAD!
